On May 30th our Executive Director, Stan Lihosit, was one of 50 recipients – one from each Ward – to receive the Senior of the Year Distinguished Service Award for his many years of volunteer service to our community, civic association, his parish of St. Bruno, Curie High School and several other fraternal and civic groups.
Stan was nominated by Alderman Edward M. Burke (14th Ward), and the award was presented by Mayor Rahm Emanuel at a gala breakfast held at the XS Tennis & Education Foundation facility – 5336 S. State St.
The award reads “In recognition of your lifetime commitment to the City of Chicago as demonstrated through your outstanding service that has enriched the vibrancy of this city.”
