AHCA meetings on summer hiatus + volunteers needed

June 13 Meeting Hosted Ald Munoz

Our last meeting before the summer break was June 13. Alderman Munoz paid a quick visit to address some questions about the happenings in his ward, and we shared some details from the prior month’s meeting too.

Ald. Munoz specifically addressed questions about the Crawford Industrial Plant, which sits at 31st and Pulaski, shuttered since roughly 2012. Munoz shared that the facility would be repurposed as a warehouse for shipping (think Amazon, and companies like that). You can find more information on the development via the Chicago Tribune.

Please take note: we encourage in-person participation in our monthly meetings, so we won’t recap every detail here.

AHCA Meetings on Summer Hiatus, Reconvene September 12

AHCA’s monthly meetings are suspended for July and August, as we rarely get more than 10 folks willing to come inside from the all-too-rare sunshine!

However, that does not mean the AHCA takes time off. In fact, we never do, and we could use a hand or twelve this summer with walkabouts, zoning requests, welcome wagoning and much more. If you’ve got some free time and are willing to pitch in, we’d love to hear from you as we reboot and gear up for a productive fall/winter season.

Please email Tom at ahca4444@gmail.com or Jaime at jaimegs920@gmail.com to offer up some help.
