It’s that time of year again!
As we’ve done for over 50 years, this month we begin our annual fundraiser raffle.
With this month’s newsletter, you’ll receive five raffle tickets for the drawing that takes place at our December meeting. This is the only time that we solicit our members for any type of operating donation and it’s the principle source of our working funds used to run the AHCA in the coming year.
So it’s important to send ’em back in!
Tickets are $3 each (or 5 for $15) and we offer a whopping $2,000 in cash prizes:
1st prize: $1,000
2nd prize: $500
3rd prize: $250
4th prize: $150
5th prize: $100
The main reason we can offer such terrific prizes? Our generous donors, listed on each raffle ticket, who underwrite the prizes. Our donors understand and support the work AHCA does for the community. In fact, there’s no other civic association on the SW Side that has done, and continues to do, so much to ensure that Archer Heights remains a vibrant community to live in!
So now, we ask each of YOU to help us continue doing that great work for another year. Please buy/sell these raffle tickets to support our work over the coming year. We can’t emphasize enough how much we depend on these funds. Membership dues alone do not cover the cost of office rent, phone, newsletter printing, postage and supplies – let alone necessary and unplanned items such as flyers to alert you of particular problems in order to organize and fight when they occur! We’ve also made several upgrades to this website over the past year, and are implementing even more in 2019. Your donations will keep up this momentum.
Recording all ticket purchases takes our volunteers some time, so we ask that you send these tickets and checks in as soon as possible. If you want to pay in cash, please do so at the United Credit Union reception desk, located at 4444 S. Pulaski, or bring it to the November meeting on Wednesday, November 7, at 7:30pm, at the UNO School cafeteria.
Thanks for your support!
